On the afternoon of the third day, they should go to the hospital to complete a basic pulmonary function test—which serves solely to collect data and provide an objective record of their health status. Guests should keep the test report with them. Afterward, they will depart from Guangzhou for Shenzhen, then fly to Sanya to enjoy the tropical island; the second half of the journey is a completely relaxing vacation.
Day 1 · Arrival in Guangzhou
Your flight lands at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. A private car will pick you up and take you to a quiet hotel in the Yuexiu or Tianhe districts. The day is primarily dedicated to rest and adjusting to the time difference. In the evening, a medical escort will meet you at the hotel to verify your identity, confirm your selected hospital and the appointment time for your respiratory examination, and provide you with a pre-appointment information card in both Chinese and English.
Day 2 · Guangzhou
In the morning, explore Shamian Island. This small island was once a British and French concession, dotted with late 19th-century European-style architecture—red-brick apartments, arcaded trading houses, and Gothic churches—all shaded by dense, ancient banyan trees. With no motor vehicles allowed on the island, it's perfect for leisurely strolls and taking photos. In the afternoon, visit the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. This Qing Dynasty academy is renowned for its "three carvings, two sculptures, and one casting"—stone carvings, wood carvings, and brick carvings, as well as ceramic sculptures, stucco sculptures, and iron castings—all featuring intricate and exquisite craftsmanship. The ceramic sculptures on the roof depict a continuous narrative with vivid colors.
Day 3 · Guangzhou (Respiratory Department Appointment Day)
In the morning, head to Yuexiu Park to see the Five Rams Statue—Guangzhou's city emblem. Zhenhai Tower, the highest point in the park, now houses the Guangzhou Museum. In the afternoon, set aside three to four hours for a medical escort to accompany you to the respiratory department of a Grade A tertiary hospital of your choice to complete basic pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and peak expiratory flow rate testing (for data collection only). The escort will assist with registration, translation, and retrieving test results throughout the process but will not be involved in any medical procedures. Afterward, you can visit the Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, where Nanxin's double-skin milk and Shunji's coconut ice cream are excellent choices to beat the heat.
Day 4 · Guangzhou
In the morning, visit the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. This octagonal, palace-style building features a dome with a span of 71 meters supported by no columns—a masterpiece in architectural history—and its blue glazed tile roof stands out strikingly in the sunlight. In the afternoon, stroll along Beijing Road Commercial Pedestrian Street, where you can see the layered remains of a millennia-old ancient road—dating from the Tang Dynasty to the Republic of China era—beneath the glass canopy covering the street. The surrounding area is filled with the enticing aromas of Cantonese-style roasted meats and wonton noodle soup.
Day 5 · Guangzhou → Shenzhen
In the morning, take the high-speed rail to Shenzhen, a journey of about one hour. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Shenzhen Bay Park, where the coastal walking trail is flat and open, with a gentle sea breeze, offering distant views of the silhouettes of Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai in Hong Kong across the water. In the evening, head to Sea World—a commercial complex converted from the decommissioned cruise ship "Ming Hua"—surrounded by restaurants and bars, with a musical fountain show every night.
Day 6 · Shenzhen
In the morning, visit the Window of the World theme park, where miniature versions of landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramids, and the Taj Mahal are clustered together—perfect for a leisurely stroll and taking photos. In the afternoon, head to the OCT Creative Park, an arts district housed in renovated old factory buildings that features galleries, designer studios, and independent bookstores. Day 7 · Shenzhen → Sanya
Spend the morning at your leisure; you may visit the Splendid China Folk Village (which features scale models of famous scenic spots and ethnic minority villages from across the country). In the afternoon, fly from Shenzhen Bao'an Airport to Sanya—a flight of about two hours. Upon arrival, a private car will transfer you to a beachfront resort in Yalong Bay or Haitang Bay, where you'll check in to a hotel with a view of the azure sea and white sands right outside your window.
Day 8 · Sanya
Spend the entire day enjoying the beach at Yalong Bay. With its fine, white sand and crystal-clear waters, you can swim, snorkel, or simply lie on a beach chair gazing at the sea and soaking up the sun. In the afternoon, head to Tropical Paradise Forest Park. Take an electric cart to the mountaintop and walk across the Dragon Rope Bridge to overlook Yalong Bay's crescent-shaped coastline—a location featured in the film If You Are the One 2.
Day 9 · Sanya
In the morning, head to the Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area, where the "Tianya" ("End of the Sky"), "Haijia" ("End of the Sea"), and "Nantian Yizhu" ("Pillar of the Southern Sky") rock formations—standing majestically by the sea—are the three most iconic landmarks. In the afternoon, visit the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Area, home to the 108-meter-tall Guanyin statue standing in the South China Sea—15 meters taller than the Statue of Liberty. Day 10 · Sanya (Free Day)
The entire day is free for you to enjoy as you wish, with no scheduled activities. You can swim in the hotel's infinity pool, rent a scooter and ride along the coastal highway, or head to the fishing port to buy fresh seafood and have it prepared at a restaurant—it's the perfect day to completely unwind.
Day 11 · Sanya
In the morning, take a speedboat to Wuzhizhou Island—the journey takes about twenty minutes. With exceptionally clear seawater, you can go snorkeling or take a glass-bottom boat to admire the coral reefs and tropical fish. The Lovers' Bridge and Sunrise Rock on the island are also must-visit spots. In the afternoon, return to the mainland and head to the Haitang Bay Duty-Free Shopping Center, where you'll find great discounts on cosmetics, perfumes, watches, and Hainan specialties.
Day 12 · Departure from Sanya
