Specially designed for art, design, and cultural creation students, this Beijing winter art camp focuses on the perfect integration of traditional Chinese intangible cultural heritage and modern contemporary art. Winter’s soft light and quiet urban atmosphere provide superior artistic creation and appreciation conditions. Students will visit Beijing’s top art museums and contemporary art districts, learn traditional Chinese painting and classic intangible heritage crafts under professional folk masters, and compare the aesthetic differences between Eastern traditional art and Western modern art. The program combines artistic appreciation, hands-on creation, aesthetic analysis, and achievement exhibition, allowing international students to systematically understand the inheritance and innovation of Chinese art culture. Every student will complete multiple original handcrafted artworks and hold a personal camp art exhibition at the end of the program.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival & Art Camp Opening Orientation Airport transfer and hotel check-in. Winter art camp opening ceremony. Professional art tutor introduces Chinese traditional aesthetics, modern art development, and camp creation themes. Distribute art creation tools and daily learning tasks.

Day 2: National Art Museum & Ink Painting Creation Workshop Morning visit the National Art Museum of China. Appreciate classic traditional Chinese paintings, modern art works, and ethnic art creations. Guide students to analyze Eastern aesthetic characteristics and artistic expression techniques. Afternoon professional ink wash painting workshop. Students learn basic brushwork, ink rendering, and winter landscape creation skills, completing their first Chinese painting work.

Day 3: 798 Art Zone Full-Day Contemporary Art Study Full-day exploration of Beijing 798 Art District. Visit professional galleries, independent artist studios, sculpture parks, and creative cultural spaces. Students communicate with art creators, observe modern art presentation forms, and discuss the integration of traditional Chinese elements and modern art.

Day 4: Cloisonné Intangible Heritage Workshop & Folk Art Study Visit traditional cloisonné craft inheritance base. Listen to master’s explanation of the thousand-year history of cloisonné art. Students personally participate in wire inlay, glaze filling, and polishing processes to complete exclusive handmade cloisonné souvenirs. Supplemental Chinese knot and traditional paper cutting creation experience.

Day 5: Student Art Exhibition, Closing & Departure Organize camp internal art exhibition. Students display all hand-painted and handcrafted works, share creative concepts and learning insights. Teachers conduct artistic evaluation and award excellent creation certificates. Complete camp closing and airport departure arrangement.
