The steps on Jinshanling and Simatai are steep with primitive terrain; professional hiking shoes are required.
Some sections of Simatai are extremely dangerous. Please follow the guide’s instructions and do not climb without permission.
There are no shops on the Great Wall. Please prepare at least 2L of water, energy bars and a windproof jacket.
