Chinese Language Immersion Program for Students (14–28 Days)
The fastest way to learn Chinese is to live it. This immersion programme - based in Shanghai or Beijing - combines 3–4 hours of daily small-group Chinese classes with cultural modules, city tasks and school exchanges that force real spoken language. Students order meals, negotiate markets and navigate the metro in Chinese; they share a morning with local buddies at a partner school; and those who wish can sit the HSK exam at the end. The programme is available in 2-week, 3-week and 4-week versions, and is the strongest fit for language departments and summer schools.
Optional Extensions
Week 1, Monday–Friday: 9:00–12:00 Chinese classes - small groups level-tested on arrival, covering speaking, characters and daily survival language. 14:00–16:00 rotating culture modules: calligraphy, tea ceremony, cooking, opera and mahjong, each taught bilingually. Evenings: guided city tasks - a metro mission, a market-bargaining challenge, a food-street scavenger hunt - with teachers on call for support.
Week 1, Saturday–Sunday: Excursions: the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven or the gardens (rotating with the city base), each with a language component - order your own lunch, ask directions, buy your own ticket.
Week 2, Monday–Friday: Classes continue; mid-week holds the full-day buddy-school exchange: a morning shadowing classes in a partner Chinese school, a joint lunch, and an afternoon of activities with your Chinese buddies. Thursday: HSK mock test and review. Friday: graduation ceremony - certificates, speeches in Chinese, and a farewell dinner.
Week 3 (3-week version): Project week - each student or pair chooses a theme (Chinese food, family life, technology, pop culture) and researches it in the field with daily teacher check-ins, presenting findings in Chinese at the end.
Week 4 (4-week version): Immersion intensive - an optional work-shadowing morning, a homestay week for full-family immersion, or a multi-city finale (3 days: Xi'an or Guilin) that keeps the language tasks running on the road.
