This 7-day northern China spring leisure group tour connects China's two most famous ancient capitals, Beijing and Xi'an. Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Beijing. Our English-speaking guide and private coach meet your group at the airport and transfer to your downtown hotel for check-in and rest. Welcome dinner featuring authentic Peking duck, Beijing pancakes and northern-style side dishes. Overnight Beijing.

Day 2: Beijing imperial sightseeing. Morning visit Tiananmen Square, then enter the Forbidden City, the imperial palace of Ming and Qing dynasties. Walk along grand palace courtyards, ornate gate towers and royal gardens decorated with early spring blooms. In the afternoon, head to Jingshan Park, climb the hilltop pavilion for panoramic overlooking views of the Forbidden City surrounded by blossoming trees. Evening free at leisure. Overnight Beijing.

Day 3: Mutianyu Great Wall full day trip. Depart early by private coach to Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Take cable car uphill to the wall. Hike along the ancient stone ramparts, surrounded by wild apricot and peach blossoms covering mountain slopes in spring. Guests can take the toboggan slide downhill as an optional fun activity. Return to Beijing city in late afternoon. Evening free for group shopping or rest. Overnight Beijing.

Day 4: Beijing cultural tour. Morning visit the Temple of Heaven, where emperors prayed for harvest. Explore grand circular halls, long covered corridors and spring flower gardens. After lunch travel to Summer Palace, the largest imperial garden in China. Wander along Kunming Lake waterfront, view blooming magnolias and peach trees. Enjoy a leisurely lake boat ride on Kunming Lake. Overnight Beijing.

Day 5: High-speed train Beijing to Xi'an (around 4.5 hours). Private coach meets your group at Xi'an railway station and transfers to hotel for check-in. Late afternoon, rent bikes to cycle along Xi'an's well-preserved ancient city wall at sunset, enjoying gentle spring breeze over the old city rooftops. Dinner features Xi’an local snacks: roujiamo, cold skin noodles and lamb soup. Overnight Xi'an.

Day 6: Xi'an full-day heritage tour. Drive to the Terracotta Army Museum. Explore three large excavation pits, learn the story of Qin Emperor's underground clay army from your guide. After lunch, travel to Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Ci'en Temple complex, a landmark from Tang Dynasty. Stroll the nearby Tang-style pedestrian street. Overnight Xi'an.

Day 7: Morning walk through Xi'an Muslim Quarter, browse local market stalls selling dried fruits, spices and traditional handicrafts, and taste local breakfast snacks. Afterwards transfer by private coach to Xi'an airport for departure. End of tour.
