This elite cross-city STEM tour is designed for high-achieving overseas high school and university students with strong academic ambition in science and engineering. It creates a clear contrast between Beijing's research-intensive, university-led innovation ecosystem and Shanghai's internationalised, market-facing tech and startup landscape. Students will not only tour laboratories and corporate innovation centres, but also receive guidance on how to frame technical ideas into viable innovation pitches. Peer exchange with local Chinese university STEM students is embedded into the schedule. We arrange a relaxed Yu Garden walking tour and Shanghainese local feast to help students unwind after intensive academic sessions. We can add university admission briefings for students interested in Chinese top universities, or extend the trip to Suzhou Wuzhong semiconductor parks for deeper manufacturing exposure. This tour is student-centred and less suitable for pure corporate B2B negotiation teams.

Itinerary:

Day 1 | Theme: Beijing Arrival & Innovation Challenge Launch

Morning: Arrival Beijing, transfer and check-in
Afternoon: Opening orientation, meet university student ambassadors. Group is formed for innovation pitching challenge, theme released.
Evening: Campus-style casual dinner with local university STEM students for peer exchange.

Day 2 | Theme: Frontier Research Lab Visit & Expert Seminar

Morning: Guided visit to key university research lab. Researcher lecture on frontier topics such as sustainable energy, AI safety or advanced materials.
Afternoon: Interactive frontier tech seminar. Students can submit questions in advance for the researcher panel.
Evening: Team brainstorming for pitch ideas.

Day 3 | Theme: National Research Institute Visit & Transfer to Shanghai

Morning: Visit national-level tech research institute, exhibition of key research projects.
Afternoon: High-speed train to Shanghai, check into Shanghai hotel.
Evening: Leisure walk at Yu Garden, explore traditional bazaar and taste Shanghai snacks.

Day 4 | Theme: Global Tech Innovation Centre & Pitching Skill Training

Morning: Visit global tech enterprise Shanghai innovation centre. Experience R&D prototype zone, user research lab and international cooperation project showcase.
Afternoon: Innovation pitching workshop. Coach students on structure, logic and presentation skills for tech ideas. Team work time.
Evening: Shanghainese local banquet dinner, group rehearsal.

Day 5 | Theme: Pitch Competition, Closing & Departure

Morning: Student innovation showcase and pitch competition. Invited judges give feedback and award certificates. Closing speech.
