Soochow University has a long history tracing back to the early 20th century. It enjoys outstanding academic strength in Chinese language, literature, architecture and silk textile studies. The campus is decorated with old buildings, lakes and green trees, creating a beautiful learning environment deeply influenced by Jiangnan culture.
During the exchange, overseas students will take a guided tour of the campus, visit the library and exhibition halls of the Silk College. Students will join interactive Chinese language workshops, practicing daily Chinese conversation. Then participants will take part in academic seminars focusing on Wu culture, silk history and classical garden heritage. Local university students will share their research and exchange ideas with visiting overseas groups. Students can discuss the inheritance of Su embroidery, Kesi silk and classical garden art in modern education.
