Its predecessor was the Northwest Soft Drink Factory, established by a Xinjiang merchant who imported equipment from Tianjin. In 1953, it was merged into the Xi'an Municipal Food Factory and officially adopted the "Ice Peak" brand. According to legend, the brand name originated from a well used to draw water for soft drink production after a heavy snowfall; the well's pulley froze, and the accumulated snow and ice formed a shape resembling a small mountain peak. Initially packaged in 200-milliliter glass bottles, the company added 330-milliliter aluminum cans in 2012, establishing a dual-packaging system, and launched a new 460-milliliter large-capacity glass bottle in June 2024. In January 2021, the company began preparations for a listing on the SME Board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and in October of the same year, it was ranked 98th on the "2021 Hurun China's Most Historically and Culturally Rich Brands List". In May 2022, the company voluntarily withdrew its IPO application materials, halting the listing process. In December 2023, the company's controlling shareholder changed. In February 2024, it was included in the third batch of the "Time-Honored Chinese Brands" list; in March of the same year, the company implemented a phased price reduction for certain products in the Xi'an region. Its products primarily consist of orange-flavored carbonated beverages, while also covering plant-based drinks such as sour plum soup, as well as flavored beverages and tea drinks. The company consistently uses "Guangxi Guihua" brand white sugar and reverse osmosis water treatment technology, and has obtained ISO 9001-2000 quality management system certification. Its sales network covers Shaanxi and select cities nationwide, though revenue is highly concentrated in the Shaanxi region.
