Travel approximately 2 hours from Kaili South Railway Station to Zhaoxing Dong Village, the largest and most iconic Dong settlement in China. Spend the morning exploring its remarkable five drum towers, traditional wind-and-rain bridges, and stilted wooden architecture. Savor a delicious Dong-style lunch featuring sour soup fish, glutinous rice, and pickled fish. In the afternoon, join a hands-on workshop to learn the Grand Song of the Dong from heritage bearers and try traditional indigo dyeing. Day 3: Basha Miao Village · Last Gunman Tribe + Cun Chao / Cun BA
Travel about 1.5 hours to Basha Miao Village, known as the last gunman tribe in China. Watch fascinating cultural shows including sickle hair shaving, musket displays, and lusheng dance.
