Students will visit ancient water town architectural clusters, experience traditional silk culture and Jiangnan garden aesthetics, participate in classic southern Chinese handicraft workshops, and match with traditional culture-themed Mandarin courses. Day 1: Camp Arrival & Orientation Morning: Student check‑in at the designated camp accommodation. Camp counsellors introduce camp rules, safety guidelines, daily schedule and emergency contact information. Day 2: Themed Mandarin Foundation & Jiangnan Cultural Lectures Morning: Immersive Mandarin themed class tailored for international teenagers with no or limited Chinese background. Lessons focus on basic vocabulary related to water towns, gardens, silk and handicrafts. Teachers combine picture materials, short videos and simple interactive oral practice. Afternoon: Cultural popular‑science workshop about Jiangnan regional aesthetics. Students learn about “white‑wall‑black‑tile” architecture, canal‑driven lifestyle, local folk customs and poetry linked to Jiangnan. Group discussion encourages students to share their expectations for upcoming site visits. Evening: Light cultural activity: appreciate traditional Chinese ink‑wash Jiangnan landscape paintings. Day 3: In‑Depth Ancient Water Town Cultural Study Tour Morning: Private group transfer to a classic Jiangnan ancient water town. Guided aesthetic appreciation covering rock‑stacking art, pond layout, pavilion‑and‑corridor design, plant arrangement and the philosophical ideas behind Chinese private gardens. Mandarin themed class is combined with on‑site explanation, helping students understand garden‑related Chinese terms. Lunch: Group local‑style lunch nearby. Afternoon: Silk‑culture hands‑on experience session. Students learn the long history of Chinese sericulture and silk weaving.
