You start in Xi'an, where the Terracotta Army guards the tomb of the first emperor; then high-speed rail to Chengdu, home of giant pandas and relaxed Sichuan life; finally southwest to Rongjiang for the 2028 Village Super League World Cup. Practical information
- Best season: April–June and September–October are ideal for Xi'an and Chengdu; if the Village World Cup falls in summer (June–August), expect Chengdu's famous humidity and occasional thunderstorms - we plan indoor museum afternoons on hot days.
- Getting there: fly into Xi'an Xianyang (XIY); high-speed rail Xi'an → Chengdu (~3.5 hours through the Qinling Tunnel); fly Chengdu → Guiyang, then high-speed rail to Rongjiang (~1.5 hours); depart from Guiyang.
- Accommodation: central Xi'an (Muslim Quarter / Bell Tower) · central Chengdu (Chunxi Road / Wuhou) · Rongjiang town hotel.
- Good to know: book the Chengdu panda base for the earliest morning slot - pandas are active before 9 a.m. and sleep through the afternoon; Sichuan food is genuinely spicy - tell us if you need mild options; the Terracotta Army visit involves a 1-hour drive from downtown Xi'an, so start early; bring comfortable shoes - Xi'an's city wall is best explored by bike.

- Add the Silk Road (Dunhuang) (+4 days): extend Xi'an west to Lanzhou, Jiayuguan and Dunhuang - the Terracotta Warriors and the Mogao Caves in one journey.
- Add Chongqing (+1 day): between Chengdu and Guiyang, stop in Chongqing for the Hongya Cave night view and hotpot.

Day 1 - Arrive Xi'an. Transfer, hotel check-in, evening bike on the Ming city wall and dinner in the Muslim Quarter.
Day 2 - The Terracotta Army. Full day at the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, with an archaeologist guide.
Day 3 - Xi'an's Tang Legacy. Morning at the Shaanxi History Museum; afternoon the Big Wild Goose Pagoda; evening on the Grand Tang Mall.
Day 4 - Xi'an to Chengdu. Morning high-speed rail through the Qinling Mountains (~3.5 hours). Afternoon at Jinli Old Street; dinner of Sichuan hotpot.
Day 5 - Chengdu: Pandas & Temples. Morning at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding; afternoon at Wuhou Shrine and the People's Park tea house.
