Day 1: Arrive Hohhot airport. Private coach and English guide meet your group and transfer to city hotel for check-in. Evening city walk in Hohhot old quarter. Welcome dinner with Mongolian milk tea and local dishes. Overnight Hohhot.
Day 2: Private coach transfer Hohhot to Xilamuren Grassland. Check in traditional Mongolian yurt. Afternoon grassland activities: horse riding and camel cart riding across the steppe. Walk freely to enjoy wide grassland scenery dotted with wild summer flowers. Watch sunset over endless grassland. Overnight in grassland yurt.
Day 3: Full day grassland cultural experience. Morning watch Mongolian folk performance including horse racing, wrestling and throat singing. Visit local nomadic family, learn about daily nomadic life and taste homemade dairy snacks. Evening optional bonfire party on grassland. Overnight yurt.
Day 4: Leave grassland and return to Hohhot. On the way visit a desert scenic spot to see sand dunes. Check into hotel in Hohhot city. Evening free for rest and shopping. Overnight Hohhot.
Day 5: Hohhot city sightseeing. Visit Inner Mongolia Museum to learn about grassland history and nomadic culture. Visit Zhaojun Tomb, a historic cultural landmark. Leisure afternoon for local market shopping. Overnight Hohhot.
