City: Luoyang
Luoyang Museum collects tens of thousands of precious artefacts from the 13 dynasties that made Luoyang their capital, covering bronze ritual vessels, Tang tri-colour pottery, ancient jade and silk road cultural relics. This museum study programme turns ordinary visitors into little museum curators and relic conservators.

Led by a bilingual museum educator, the group explores the exhibition halls to trace 5,000 years of Heluo civilisation. Students complete guided research tasks: identify bronze wares from the Xia and Shang dynasties, analyse Tang Dynasty Silk Road imported goods including Persian silverware and Byzantine coins, and learn how these artefacts record ancient international trade. The hands-on core is the simulated relic restoration workshop: participants piece together broken pottery shards, clean replica bronze artefacts and repair cracked ceramic pieces with professional restoration tools, learning the basic scientific principles of cultural heritage protection. We also arrange a short museum docent practice, letting students introduce one cultural relic to their teammates in English.
PandaStudyTour reserves group guided tours inside the museum, arranges professional heritage educators, prepares replica relics and restoration toolkits, and designs student workbooks with research questions. This museum classroom activity can be scheduled as a half-day indoor programme on rainy days, perfectly complementing outdoor site visits, and helping overseas students develop a deeper respect for cultural heritage protection.
