In the morning, you will study at the Rongchang Pottery intangible heritage base, a national-level intangible cultural heritage and one of China's Four Great Potteries. You will learn the thousand-year-old pottery-making history and regional craft characteristics of Rongchang pottery. Under the guidance of professional craftsmen, you will experience the whole process of clay kneading, wheel throwing, glazing and preliminary firing, and personally make unique handmade pottery works. In the afternoon, you will enter a traditional lacquer art studio to learn ancient Chongqing lacquer painting and inlay craftsmanship. You will understand the production process and aesthetic connotation of traditional lacquer art, and complete personalized lacquer painting creation by combining classic lacquer art colors and creative patterns.

Day 4 Hot Pot Craft & Bamboo Carving | Urban Intangible Heritage & Carving Art

In the morning, you will experience the unique food intangible heritage of Chongqing hot pot craftsmanship. You will identify various traditional Chinese spices, learn the ancient stir-frying techniques of hot pot base, and understand the inheritance and development of Bashu food culture. You will personally stir-fry exclusive hot pot base to feel the mortal ingenuity contained in urban food heritage. In the afternoon, you will study traditional bamboo carving and wood carving crafts. You will master basic carving techniques and line processing methods, learn the cultural implication of traditional carving patterns, and complete personalized bamboo carving works independently.
