In the evening, we will hold a special intangible heritage opening lecture. Day 2 Shu Embroidery & Paper-cutting | Traditional Folk Embroidery & Pattern Aesthetics
In the morning, you will enter a professional Shu embroidery master workshop for exclusive closed-door teaching. Under the guidance of intangible heritage inheritors, you will learn basic embroidery stitch techniques, traditional Bashu pattern design logic and color matching aesthetics. You will complete the whole process of pattern tracing, stitch practice and independent embroidery creation, and experience the delicate artistic charm of one of China's four famous embroideries. In the afternoon, you will visit the professional Chongqing paper-cutting intangible heritage studio. You will learn traditional folk paper-cutting techniques, master the cutting methods of classic window grilles and Bashu folk custom patterns, and try innovative pattern design combining traditional elements and modern aesthetics. Throughout the day, you will record the characteristics of folk patterns and embroidery aesthetics to accumulate creative materials for cultural and creative design.
Day 3 Rongchang Pottery & Lacquer Art | Traditional Ceramic & Lacquer Craft Aesthetics
In the morning, you will study at the Rongchang Pottery intangible heritage base, a national-level intangible cultural heritage and one of China's Four Great Potteries. You will learn the thousand-year-old pottery-making history and regional craft characteristics of Rongchang pottery. Under the guidance of professional craftsmen, you will experience the whole process of clay kneading, wheel throwing, glazing and preliminary firing, and personally make unique handmade pottery works. In the afternoon, you will enter a traditional lacquer art studio to learn ancient Chongqing lacquer painting and inlay craftsmanship. You will understand the production process and aesthetic connotation of traditional lacquer art, and complete personalized lacquer painting creation by combining classic lacquer art colors and creative patterns.
Day 4 Hot Pot Craft & Bamboo Carving | Urban Intangible Heritage & Carving Art
In the morning, you will experience the unique food intangible heritage of Chongqing hot pot craftsmanship. You will identify various traditional Chinese spices, learn the ancient stir-frying techniques of hot pot base, and understand the inheritance and development of Bashu food culture. You will personally stir-fry exclusive hot pot base to feel the mortal ingenuity contained in urban food heritage. In the afternoon, you will study traditional bamboo carving and wood carving crafts. You will master basic carving techniques and line processing methods, learn the cultural implication of traditional carving patterns, and complete personalized bamboo carving works independently. Day 5 Achievement Exhibition & Closing | Cultural and Creative Design Summary & Departure
