Who was Confucius?
Confucius (Kongzi, 551–479 BC) was born in the state of Lu, in what is today Qufu, Shandong Province, during a turbulent period of Chinese history. He taught that the well-ordered society begins with the well-ordered person; that the well-ordered person begins with learning; and that learning begins with sincerity.
