Day 1: Guilin to Ziyuan | Red Culture Enlightenment & Local Folklore Experience
Travel to Ziyuan County from Guilin and settle in downtown accommodation after arrival. In the afternoon, you will visit the Ziyuan Youzhaping Long March National Cultural Park, including well-preserved revolutionary sites such as the Red Army Hall, Red Army Well and ancestral temple ruins. Professional study instructors will vividly narrate the historical journey of the Red Army passing through northern Guangxi, and guide you to draw a simple military march map to sort out local revolutionary historical context. In the evening, you will attend a special Hakka folk culture course and taste authentic Ziyuan local cuisine to experience the unique folk customs of northern Guangxi.
Day 2: World-Class Danxia Geology Research at Bajiaozhai Global Geopark
Head to Bajiaozhai Scenic Area, a prestigious World Natural Heritage and Global Geopark renowned as the "Soul of Danxia". You will hike along gentle viewing plank roads with segmented rest stops to complete geological research tasks. You will systematically distinguish the structural and lithological differences between Danxia sandstone and Guilin karst rock, conduct on-site geological experiments including sandstone specimen collection and recording of mountain water erosion traces. Standing on the high-altitude viewing platform, you will observe the iconic "Group Snails Facing the Sky" landform and finish hand-drawn structural diagrams of Danxia mountain bodies.
Day 3: Zijing River Ecology Exploration & Forest Biological Investigation
Take a gentle original ecological bamboo raft drifting on the Zijing River, free of rapid currents and safe for student groups. During the drifting process, you will observe subtropical river valley vegetation and aquatic organisms along the bank, and record the diversity characteristics of river ecological systems. In the afternoon, proceed to the professional forest study base to identify unique tree species in South China and make standard plant specimen works. In the evening, all study groups will organize centralized sorting and sorting of two days' geological field research notes, consolidating daily academic gains.
Day 4: Tea Culture Experience & Academic Closing & Return to Guilin
Participate in alpine tea culture practice in the morning, experiencing whole-process hands-on activities including alpine tea picking and simple hand-frying tea production to understand the local characteristic tea industry ecology. After the experience, return to Guilin city. In the afternoon, hold a formal closing defense session. Each group will share and report academic achievements based on Danxia and karst landform comparative research, demonstrating field learning outcomes. All students will obtain an official study tour certificate before the trip concludes with drop-off service.
