Destinations: Lhasa, Shannan, Gyantse, Shigatse
This exclusive Tibetan Buddhist Art Study Tour is a culturally focused, academically curated program designed specifically for international student groups seeking in-depth immersion into Tibet's sacred visual culture. Moving beyond conventional sightseeing, this itinerary takes participants across Lhasa, Shannan, Gyantse and Shigatse - Tibet's most historically significant art regions - to explore the full spectrum of Tibetan Buddhist art, including ancient monastery architecture, centuries-old murals, traditional Thangka painting, sacred mandala sand art, and unique butter sculpture craftsmanship. Under the guidance of professional local art instructors and cultural scholars, students will observe world-famous UNESCO-listed monasteries, compare different Tibetan Buddhist school art styles, and engage in hands-on art creation sessions. Gradual altitude adaptation, carefully scheduled cultural interpretation, and authentic local experiences allow overseas learners to systematically understand the religion, symbolism, history, and aesthetics behind Tibetan Buddhist art, creating a profound and educational cross-cultural study journey in the highland region.
