Day 1 Arrive in Lhasa · Plateau Acclimatization
Upon arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your downtown hotel. The day is dedicated to gentle rest and altitude adaptation, with no intense activities, so you can fully prepare for the journey ahead.
Day 2 Lhasa · Cultural Exploration
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace, the iconic symbol of Xizang. Continue to Jokhang Temple, the most sacred monastery in Xizang (Tibet), then walk around Barkhor Street to experience local religious life. In the afternoon, enjoy the lively monk debate at Sera Monastery.
Day 3 Lhasa → Yamdrok Lake → Karola Glacier → Shigatse
Driving time: approx. 300 km / 5 hours
Admire the breathtaking turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake, one of Xizang(Tibet)'s three great sacred lakes. Continue past Karola Glacier and Manla Reservoir, with dramatic snow and ice views along the way. Arrive in Shigatse and stay overnight.

Day 4 Shigatse → Everest Base Camp
Driving time: approx. 240 km / 5 hours (China National Highway 318)
Cross Gyawula Pass for a panoramic view of five 8,000-meter peaks. Continue to Everest Base Camp and witness the spectacular sunset over the world's highest mountain. Stay overnight in a heated tent or hotel at Everest Town with oxygen supply.
Experience: Everest sunset, stunning plateau starry sky.
Day 5 Everest → Rongbuk Monastery → Shigatse
Wake early for the unforgettable Everest sunrise, one of the plateau's most incredible sights. Visit Rongbuk Monastery, the highest temple in the world, with a classic front view of Everest. Then drive back to Shigatse for a relaxing evening.
Day 6 Shigatse → Tashilhunpo Monastery → Lhasa
Morning: Explore Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama and the spiritual heart of western Xizang. Admire its grand architecture, sacred statues and rich religious heritage.
Afternoon: Drive back to Lhasa via the scenic plateau route.
Day 7 Lhasa → Namtso Lake → Lhasa
Travel to Namtso Lake, one of the most beautiful holy lakes on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. Enjoy wide, peaceful views of the lake, the rolling Nyainqentanglha Mountains and open grasslands. Take relaxed walks and photos before returning to Lhasa.
Day 8 Lhasa · Departure
Free morning for souvenir shopping or light sightseeing. According to your flight time, you will be transferred to Lhasa Gonggar Airport. Your classic Xizang (Tibet) journey ends with precious memories.
