Reed Flute Cave Karst Cave Exploration & Science Experiment

City: Guilin

Reed Flute Cave is known as "The Palace of Natural Arts", one of the most representative karst cave systems in Guilin. This underground study tour brings international students deep into the limestone cave to witness the magic of water and rock. Led by an English science guide, the group walks through colourful cave tunnels, observing stalactites hanging from the ceiling, stalagmites growing from the ground, and stone pillars formed when they connect together.

Reed Flute Cave Karst Cave Exploration & Science Experiment

The core highlight is our hands-on science workshop. Students take part in a simple calcium carbonate precipitation experiment to simulate how cave stones grow over thousands of years. They also make cave rubbing art and DIY reed flutes as souvenirs, completing their own cave exploration diary. The guide explains the water cycle of karst areas, underground river systems and the ecological environment inside caves, turning abstract geological theories into visible experiments.

PandaStudyTour organises the full cave study programme. We pre-book group entry tickets, arrange bilingual science educators, prepare experimental materials and craft supplies, and control the group pace to avoid crowds. We can adjust the difficulty level for primary, middle and university students. This cave science activity can be added to your Guilin STEM study tour and natural ecology itinerary, offering overseas learners a vivid underground geology lesson.
