East China Normal University is a comprehensive research university located in Shanghai, China. The university is administered by the Ministry of Education and is jointly developed as a key institution by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Established on October 16, 1951, East China Normal University was founded on the original site of Daxia University, building upon the foundations of Daxia University and Guanghua University, while also incorporating departments from St. John's University, Fudan University, Tongji University, Zhejiang University, and other institutions. In 1959, the university was designated by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China as one of the nation's 16 key institutions of higher education. In 1972, it merged with Shanghai Normal College, Shanghai Sport University, and other institutions, and was renamed Shanghai Normal University. In 1978, it was once again designated as a national key university. In 1980, the university resumed its original name, East China Normal University. In 1996, it was included in the "Project 211" list of national key universities. In 2006, the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal Government decided to jointly prioritize the development of East China Normal University, and the university was included in the national "985 Project". In 2017, the university was designated as a Category A institution in the national "World-Class Universities" initiative.

Arrive at Putuo Campus by coach. Each group will be greeted by an ECNU student volunteer, then assemble and divide teams on the lawn. Instructors will explain tour rules and safety notes.

Take group photos at the campus gate or the lawn in front of the History & Literature Building to record precious campus memories.
Step3: Guided Visit to University History Museum
Explore the university history museum with student guides. Trace ECNU's glorious development over decades, learn about its educational heritage and outstanding alumni, and feel the profound cultural accumulation of a century-old prestigious university.
Step4: Landmark Check-in Along Liwa River
Stroll along the famous Liwa River, visit 3 to 4 iconic campus landmarks. Student volunteers introduce the campus architecture features and historical stories behind each scenic spot, and take casual group photos.
Step5: Campus Lunch Break
Two dining options available: bring packed meals to classrooms or pre-book student meals at campus canteen. All participants need to clean up garbage after dining.
Step6: Face-to-face Sharing with ECNU Outstanding Students
Join indoor sharing sessions hosted by top ECNU students. Listen to practical learning methods, university planning experience and campus life stories, with free Q&A interaction.
Step7: DIY ECNU Cultural & Creative Souvenir Handcraft
Complete exclusive ECNU cultural souvenir handcraft indoors. Every visitor gets a set of materials to make unique keepsakes to take home.
Step8: Gather & Departure
Use restroom, assemble as teams and board the coach to finish the study tour.
Option 2: Minhang Campus Route
Step1: Arrive at East China Normal University Minhang Campus
Arrive at Minhang Campus by coach. Every team is received by an ECNU student volunteer, assemble and group on the sports field, followed by safety briefing.
Step2: Guided Tour of Biology Museum
Step into the Biology Museum to unlock mysteries of life. Observe various biological specimens up close, learn about the origin, evolution and diversity of living creatures, and spark interest in bioscience.
Step3: Interactive Visit to Geography Museum
Experience the immersive Geography Museum supported by national virtual simulation experimental teaching center. View tens of thousands of rare mineral, rock and paleontological fossil specimens, and learn the evolutionary history of Earth through interactive science exhibits.
Step4: Campus Landmark Check-in & Shida House Visit
Walk around core campus landmarks and visit Shida House displaying official ECNU cultural creations. Student volunteers interpret campus architecture and university history, with group photo opportunities.
Step5: Campus Lunch Break
Two dining options available: self-prepared food in classrooms or pre-ordered canteen meals; all rubbish shall be cleaned by participants themselves.
Step6: Elite Student Sharing Session
Communicate with excellent ECNU undergraduates indoors, gain firsthand experience on study planning, major selection and growth at top Chinese universities.
Step7: DIY ECNU Cultural & Creative Souvenir Making
Take part in handcraft activity to design and produce exclusive ECNU souvenirs with provided material kits.
Step8: Team Assembly & Return
Organize teams, take restroom breaks and get on the coach to conclude the one-day tour.
