The origins of Nanjing Normal University can be traced back to the Sanjiang Normal School, founded in 1902, which was one of the cradles of higher normal education in China. In 1952, as part of the nationwide reorganization of university departments, Nanjing Normal College was established based on relevant departments from Nanjing University, Jinling University, and other institutions, with its campus located on the former site of Jinling Women's University. In 1984, it was renamed Nanjing Normal University. In 1996, it was included in the national "Project 211" initiative. The Xianlin Campus of Nanjing Normal University boasts a beautiful natural environment, surrounded by the Zhongshan Scenic Area, Qixia Scenic Area, Baohua Mountain Scenic Area, and Tangshan Scenic Area. Step7: Visit Rare Animals Exhibition Hall
Explore the unique animal-themed museum in Nanjing, the largest and most complete specimen gallery in Jiangsu. Observe nearly a thousand animal specimens including national protected rare species, covering stuffed, soaked and skeletal samples from all animal phyla.
Step8: Plant Specimen Creative Painting Workshop
Take part in hands-on art class. Use various fresh plant leaf specimens provided by the school to create unique natural paintings, stimulating creativity and practical operational ability.
