Rongjiang County, home of the famous Guizhou Village Super League (Cun Chao, often called China's grassroots village World Cup), sits in the south of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, southeastern Guizhou Province in southwest China. It lies at the junction of Hunan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces, honored as the “key gateway to southeast Guizhou and the vital zone of Miao territory.
Geographically between 108°04′–108°44′ E longitude and 25°26′–26°28′ N latitude, Rongjiang spans both the Yangtze River and Pearl River watersheds, with around four-fifths of its land belonging to the Pearl River basin. Bordering Liping and Congjiang counties to the east, Libo County to the south, Leishan County and Sandu Sui Autonomous County to the west, and Jianhe County to the north, it covers a total area of 3,315.8 square kilometres. The county seat is Guzhou Town, where the Cun Chao football stadium is located, surrounded by karst mountains, river valleys and well-preserved Dong and Miao ancient villages.
